This article shares Maria Manazza’s personal experience and perspective through Natural Hygiene. It is not medical advice.

Hey everyone, I attached my YouTube video link below where I read the Life Science Course information by T.C. Fry on herbs. There is a Part 1, which is just my introduction to Part 2, where I read the document, if anyone wants to listen to it in case you haven’t read the document yourself already.

Herbs grow all around us, often wild, and the herbs that are generally used for herbal remedies grow in abundance. Yet plants used in herbal remedies are not plants that we would normally pick and eat. They are often tough, fibrous, bitter, volatile, very fragrant, woody and do not taste good at all.

Everyone “believes” that herbal remedies are “healthy” and “medicinal,” right? They are considered a healthier alternative to use instead of pharmaceutical chemical drugs (that is the justification used). They’ve got us chasing our tails, and the wording I often hear is that the herbal alternatives are the “lesser evil.” Choosing a lesser “evil” is still an “evil,” so why one or the other at all?

Attempting to even introduce the idea that herbals may not be beneficial and are mostly toxic for the human body, to various degrees, sounds insane to the average person.

However, when we take a step back and consider the information, it makes sense. The freedom of not having to seek specific herbs to target specific areas of the human body for our unwanted symptoms makes sense because health is not that complicated, and nature doesn’t operate that way for any creature.

In the past, I studied herbs and their “medicinal values” for several years. When I went to college long ago, I studied horticulture, where I found myself more interested in wild edibles and medicinals than learning the Latin botanical names for every tree and plant that grew in North America.

As I walked through the forest, learning the names of every plant, I would go home and study everything that I could learn about that plant, fascinated that there seemed to be a plant to help heal specific areas of the body.

After studying Natural Hygiene, I learned that plants do not act on the body and target specific areas within. That’s an impossibility. I then had to take a step back and rethink that which I had thought was my life’s calling.

All my herbal studies came down to studying falsities. I had spent countless hours learning a fairytale, a nice distracting fairytale about plants. The reason it’s so believable is because the body does react, sometimes violently with diarrhea, puking, sweating, etc., when we ingest these concentrated herbal concoctions.

The most believable falsities are based on “half-truths.” That’s why they are so believable.

Similar to germ theory, we witness people getting sick, often around the same time, which is why the lie that we catch the sickness from one another is so easy to believe, even though people fail to address the countless times that people do not get sick when in contact with sickness. It probably feels good for the average person to have an outside source to blame for their symptoms instead of dealing with themselves on a deeper level, which is also why it’s so believable. It’s quite brilliant, actually.

In the past, I studied Dr. Morse’s course (Detoxification Specialist) so that I could “safely” recommend his herbal tinctures to people. Once I learned about the toxic effects of herbs, I began turning people who asked me for herbal recommendations away, and many of them couldn’t wrap their heads around why I couldn’t consciously recommend herbals to them, even after I explained the reason.

Essential oils are the concentrated oils from medicinal herbs. The effects that are seen and touted as “cures” are merely a suppression of symptoms caused by the introduction of a poison to the body. The body creates all the effects; the oil is simply a concentrated poison which the body must work to expel.

I know we’ve already shared information in this group on why herbs and other substances are not the answer to our health issues. However, it took me a few rounds of reading various materials and articles to wrap my head around the fact that I just spent years of study, funds and energy learning information that turned out to be utterly useless to me today!

The good news in all of this is that building good health is not that complicated.

We do not have to chase any herb or substance for its miraculous effects because the human body is the true miracle!

When we put the correct conditions in place for health and healing, the body will correct itself to the best of its ability, depending on how involved or the stage of our health issues to date.

Truth is simple. Health is simple. Healing is simple. Return to simplicity. Less is more!
