Aging is not the same for everyone

Below is a few paragraphs from Herbert Shelton’s book titled “Fasting Can Save Your Life” which I found interesting and thought provoking.  All of our choices and habits count towards our overall health and life expectancy and this is so different from one person to the next.

“Aging has been defined as “the accumulation of body changes that increase one’s chances of dying with the passage of time.” This simply means that aging is the slow accumulation of pathological (diseased) changes in the organs and tissues of the body. It signifies the accumulation of damages to the structures of the body and a slow impairment of the functions of life.

Old age is simply one more chronic disease. This is the reason we may age early or late, and why some men are younger at seventy than others are at forty.

Age takes place in time but is not caused by time. It is not important, therefore, that means be found of determining accurately one’s physiological age. What is important is that we find and recognize the causes of the aging process. Remove the cause of aging; and the physiological age takes care of itself. It is claimed that no one knows precisely what the body changes that constitute aging consist of, or what exactly the changes might be.

The experiments of the noted French scientist. Dr. Alexis

Carrell, author of Man, the Unknown, in keeping fragments of a chicken heart alive for many years, revealed that they aged when not kept free of their own cell waste. In other words, they aged

as a consequence of the accumulation, in the culture medium in which they were kept, of their own metabolic waste.

If these wastes were regularly washed away, so that the cells were not poisoned by them, the chicken heart did not age. We have indications again that aging is the result of chronic toxic saturation. This important finding has received all too little attention, perhaps because there was no way to exploit it.” – Herbert Shelton

🌱My thoughts:

Buildup, bio-accumulation of wastes within is one of the primary root causes for all that ails & binds us to symptoms & disease issues.

Chronic dehydration, lymphatic stagnation follow,  leading to weakened & damaged organs & glands.

This is all caused through our compiled, daily, choices.

We all age differently, at different rates dependent on these above mentioned factors.

Health tip:

if you eat less than ideal foods, recognize & then abstain from adding insult to injury through supplying the body with digestive rest combined with water… after many hours, or an entire evening / night of food abstinence (intermittent fasting),  begin with juicy fruit only for hydration, replenishment & ease of digestion … your body will thank you.

Thanks for reading, I really need to get more in the habit of writing here above all other platforms, that is my goal moving forward.
